GUIDED TOURS ON ETNA FROM TAORMINA, CATANIA AND HINTERLAND...

Eruptions on Etna on the 24 December 2018 and at the end of May 2019

The 24th December 2018, a new eruption took place on the flank of the volcano with craters opening down until 2400 meters and with a lava flow; the eruption lasted only for three days.

The 30th May 2019 started a new eruption at the base of one of the summit crater (the New South East Crater) at 3000 meters. The eruption took place for a few days with spectacular spatter activity and two lava flows down until 1800 meters. The activity decreased and finally stopped the 6th June 2019. Check the pictures taken by the guide and book a tour with us to see Etna

What participants think about our tours...

Ron from the Netherlands

[...] my son and I did the  tour with Giuseppe. He picked us up at the hotel in Catania on the exact time we agreed.[...] Giuseppe gave us a lot of important informations and advice. [...] He is a superb prepared guide. Volcanology is my passion and it was nice to notice that he and I share this passion.

Alltogether we had a long, magnificent day on Mount Etna! [...]

Nick from England

Giuseppe took us and another couple well away from the hoards of coach tours and mass tourism that you get from the main operators.

He adjusted the trip to suit what we wanted based on his extensive knowledge of the area.

He spoke showing his considerable knowledge of the local geology and flora and maintained our interest throughout.

Throw in a free pick up from our hotel and it’s exceptional value too.

Nicole from Australia

Guiseppe was very relaxed and friendly with a lot of patience. He took us to some lovely spots. [...]

He had great knowledge of the area and a passion for history and the volcano.

Lovely small group personalised day. Thanks Guiseppe!
