Walking on some flank craters on Etna with great views
- Pick up and drop off from/to your accomodation free of charge (you do not pay it).
- Visit to the lava flow from 2002, last big eruption on Etna which destroyed the touristical village of Piano Provenza (visited).
- Nice walk in a volcanic path at 1700 meters of altitude and visit to several flank craters with amazing view on the east Sicilian coast and on the sorrounding volcanic landscape.
- Visit of a beautiful volcanic cave with an interesting history (helmets and lamps provided for free).
After the pick up from your accommodation we move up on the volcano in order to visit the lava flow from 2002, the last big eruption taking place on Etna being responsible of the destruction of the main street, the pine forest and the touristical village of Piano Provenzana, which we will visit with its ruins as well. Then we explore several craters at 1700 meters enjoying a stunning view from the top: massive forests, extended lava flows, dozens craters and the amazing Sicilian coast will be part of our view in a nice and relaxing walk. Finally we will visit a small volcanic cave really easy to access with really interesting geological formations and an interesting history.
