On Etna at 3300 meters with the smoking summit craters in the backgroud.
Born in Catania and grown in a small town at the foot of Mount Etna, I have been living in symbiosis with this amazing volcano since I was a child. Knowledgeable of its paths, its history and its stunning and marvellous places, I have decided to turn a passion into a job sharing with others the stunning volcanic landscape that I visit on my own.
Graduated with a master degree in Foreign Languages with honours, a second master degree in History with honours, I attended a course to become Naturalistic guide and Travel courier becoming qualified on these two fields. I am part of Aigae, the most important association of Italian naturalistic guides, I have its license to operate and its insurance.
My tours are known for competence and professionalism. I am available to possible request as regards customizable tours, always in small groups and in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Spoken languages: Italian, English and colloquial German.
With my friend Salvo in an interview from the national Italian television RAI during our visit to the eruption on the 27th July 2019. The interview given by the guide starts at minute 0.52: "In the last period we have had very short eruptions on Etna, let's say lasting a few days. Thus as soon as a new eruption starts, if we have the opportunity to go up and watch it, we exploit the situation and we go as soon as possible". The eruption actually lasted only 1 day.
At 2000 meters on the Silvestri craters from the eruption in 1892.
On the Spanish television Aragon Tv in the TV program 'Aragoneses por el mundo' from the 7th January 2019. Interview given by the guide starts at minute 2.22: "Are you Italian? Yes, yes, I'm from here, from Sicily. In this eruption I was 13 years old then (NB Editing incorrectly shows the postcard of the 1971 eruption instead of the 2001 one, as pointed during the shooting). I saw the beginning of the eruption with all the material being thrown out: strong explosions, the heat of the lava.It can easily reach 1000 degrees."
